Senior Weekend

This weekend will be for the graduating seniors. We are having an all out mug night tomorrow night followed by a bar crawl friday night. Alumni/Undergraduate softball game will be on saturday followed with a BBQ, and Sunday will be the Senior's last meeting as undergraduates.

So we got bored one night and just called the boys over just a random Tuesday. The neighbors came and we made hotdogs and roasted some mallows. Nothing beats a good campfire with the fraternity.

Just got back from Wildwood NJ and our annual Formal. We had 50 People go and stay in a hotel on Atlantic Ave. It was Prom weekend there so that was fun but we got to enjoy the car show and the boardwalk. It got pretty emotional as it was probably the last time all the seniors will be together in a formal setting but everyone made it through the night and had a great time.

Last Sunday was the last day of me being President. I handed the chapter down to 6 new officers who will hopefully keep the chapter running smoothly. It was hard handing it down but I guess that is what has to happen. I already have so much time on my hands and I guess thats why I am doing this blog.

Greek Week

This week marks the annual Greek Week festivities on campus. Phi Sigma Kappa has decided to pair up with Delta Gamma and Lambda Chi Alpha to have basically a "threesome" thoughout the week at mixers and events. By joining up with another fraternity and asking a sorority it doubles the size of guys to match the number of girls in the sorority for mixers. To kick off the week we had a BBQ at Kells park on Sunday and tonight there will be flag football after sumo wrestling at the Little Bob. Tuesday there will be a highlighter mixer. Thursday will be a "My Tie" Mixer. Satuday will be Greek Games Day on Frazier Field with all sorts of competitions. There will be other events besides sumo wrestling everyday at approximately 6:00pm at the Little Bob.

My Chapter is trying to win some awards at our national convention which is being held in Las Vegas this summer and one of the awards we can get is for our website. You can view our chapters website at www.UDPhiSig.com. If anyone has any thoughts of how to make it better comments would be appreciated. I have also posted some of the other local chapters websites that we will be competing against.

Phi Sigma Kappa Recruitment

The Spring Recruitment just ended March 2 and we gave out 7 bids to potential new brothers. 5 of those 7 took their bids and have begun their process to become a brother. They will go through a 6 week program that will teach them the history of Fraternities in general, history of our local chapter, history of Greek Life at the University of Delaware Campus, and traditions and programs of our chapter including our three cardinal principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Character.
